I am new to VL and I had a few questions about Katharina. I think I might have missed somethings since I don't speak German. Does she sing? If she does are there any clips out there of her singing? Does she have a child? I thought I read somewhere that she did but that might just be my bad German.
katharina is playing a leading role in "wie im himmel - as it is in heaven" in theater. it's about a choir in sweden. so i think she's not so bad in singing .
she ist married to jörg dalichau (an architect) - they have two children.

I assume this is based on the movie with the same name. I just happened to see it several months ago and really liked it.
I see that KD played the role of Gabriella in this. The character has a very intense song that she sings. It is a very powerful scene and KD would have to have a very good singing voice for them to give her the part.
Here is the song from the movie with English subtitles...
Thank you for the link supercell! What a beautiful song. Wish I could hear KD singing it. I remember two scenes in "Forbidden Love" where it became obvious that this woman had a beautiful voice. I was hoping all the time that Hanna would sing a song someday in the show but she never did. Seems like we have to go to the theatre to hear Katharina Dalichau. I think I will... some day .

What were the two scenes? For me, the "Too Shy" singing in the club was one. Yes, I too would love to hear her sing Gabriella's song. Since I have family in Germany I might have to check KD's theatre schedule for the next time I visit!
Yes, the "Too shy" scene was definitely the one. The second scene (for me) was when Hanna and Lars celebrated his birthday and Hanna gave him his birthday cake. She was singing a few lines of the "Happy birthday" song for him while she was doing it.
P.S.: Let us know when you are in Germany and you plan a night at the theatre .
Does anyone know if they are available for purchase or download? I'm particularly interested in Kurfrieden, Die Schwarze Nelke, and Krieg und Ausserdem Frieden.
Well, I have managed to find some KD shows on Youtube. Here's a clip from one episode of Hinter Gittern that is worth viewing for the scene at 8:50 alone. All I have to say is ouch!
My undestanding of the storyline is that KD's character, Pia, is a reporter or writer that wants to portray a womens prison in a bad light. She has placed some webcams around to find info. Two female inmates find out and want to use them to escape. She tries to stop it.
Ha! Thanks for the link . By the way, does anyone else have the problem that the clips in KD's website don't have a sound? I'm wondering if it's my computer or a general problem...
