Thank you, supercell!!! Maybe, since this is the English Area, I can say a little bit more about these scenes:

1. First Clip: Johannes tells Cecile about Carla:

**Carla couldn't be in a worse mood at her wedding. She just wants this day to be over. Her mood drops even more when Cecile catches the flowers so that she has to repeat the ritual. Bernd asks her what's wrong with her and if it is because of Hanna. Carla tells him that her father knows "everything" and that he's really mad at her.
** Bernd helps Carla out by breaking the tradition and throwing the flower bouquet himself. While he's doing this Ansgar (who betrayed Carla and took care that their father got information about her and Hanna) goes to Carla and asks her innocently why she is not feeling well. He's very pleased when she tells him that her father knows about her sexual orientation because "somebody" must have betrayed her.
** Cecile is sad because she thinks that Johannes is upset because of her (I guess she feels guilty because she's secretly in love with his son Leonard and has problems to hide it, as well as Leonard. But I'm not sure if that's the reason). Johannes tells her that it's not about her but about Carla, and that he found out that she's a lesbian. Cecile is shocked and asks Johannes why she married Bernd if that is true. And Johannes says: "Because I wanted it." Cecile (thinking of Leonard) says "You can't choose who you love". That's the moment when Johannes really gets mad. "That's not the point at all!", he yells. "She lied to me all these years!" He's really shocked that he apparently couldn't teach his children how to become honest people - Ansgar betrayed him too (financially).

2. Second clip: Johannes and Cecile:

Johannes and Cecile are holding hands and Johannes says "I' can't tell you how glad I am that you're here with me." Cecile responds "I'm your wife." And Johannes says "I love you." Of course, that's the moment when Leonard appears and Cecile tells him silently that this is a bad moment, so he leaves.

3. Third clip: Bernd and Carla

Bernd helps Carla to turn off her robe but has some problems. He accidentally tears apart the fabric and apologizes. Carla says something like "Who cares anyway." And he says tenderly "Today isn't our day, is it?"

For some reason I like that poor Bernd from the beginning. First, he was there because he fell in love with Carla. But later, after he learned about the nature of love Carla and Hanna's love, he was just simply supportive.

I have been playing with a few options why he was like that (since I haven't seen a lot of scenes about Bernd, I can't make the final judgement )

1. He eventually learned he could never win Carla's heart, so he eventually accepted that fact but never really stopped adoring her - and his infatuation gradually grew into that illusion of being next to her but never having her (as long as his residence in the castle lasted), thus becoming her loyal friend.

2. He seems like the guy who never has had a meaningful purpose in his life. Living next to Carla, having all privileges of her family and what-a-woman to show up with, he accepted all those advantages - and found some sort of a friend in Carla, a friend that he had never had anyway!

3. Maybe he also has nothing but respect for Carla&Hanna's love, as we all did , and when Hanna died, he was simply taken by Carla's grief.

4. Being the con, Bernd also knows, like many of them, to see and recognize and even have a huge, although silent respect for direct and non-manipulative people.

5. And maybe, a little bit of everything mentioned above.

and i wanted to ask you...were are any hints about 'too shy shy hush hush eye to eye' before Carla said it so beautifully that i can hardly imagine anyone else would have said it, in such a subtle, happy, peaceful, and a bit melancholic way, as if she was in paradise, gazing in Hanna's eyes, trying to rewind the beautiful things that had just happened...(omg, sorry got carried away) heheh...

so my question is: did they talk about this song, or did it play, or something like that... before Carla sang that bit?

This is a bit off topic (sorry for that), but icicle, I was wondering if you saw the subtitled clips that Novemberstern posted? Thanks to her you don't need to learn German ;). The afterwork party and what happened after it is probably part of clip 10 - which we Germans can't watch on youtube for copyright reasons. But I'd guess that you can watch it. Since I can't watch it I don't know whether the scenes where Hanna and Carla are both listening to "Too shy" alone are also part of clip 10.
