Don't know if any of you have heard about this UK series called "Lip Service." It's been dubbed as "The British L Word"! Set in Glasgow, it's about the lives of a group of lesbians. 1st series has 6 episodes. Creator is the writer of "Hotel Babylon" and "Mistresses." One of the lezzers? Aha, none other than that cute Scots in "Nina's Heavenly Delights" (Laura Fraser)!! Some insiders have viewed the 1st episode alraedy and are raving about it. The series will air sometime in October on BBC 3. Produced by the very cool Kudos Productions (Spooks, Ashes to Ashes, Life on Mars, etc...). I truly believe that this series would be much better than Chaiken's debacle (post-Season 1)!! But that's just my opinion..

I watched all six episodes on DVD yesterday!!! Just couldn't stop watching... What a fantastic series!! The characters are really extremely well written and simply gorgeous! Gotta say, I'm a big fan of Cat (Laura Fraser), she's stunning! And Tess! What's not to love? Will there be a second series?

Oh yeah! Now "Lip Service" is what I call a proper lesbian-themed series! So well-written, relatable, realistic, engaging, funny, complex & the cast is brilliant - primary and secondary characters! We don't know if there's going to be a 2nd series but I believe there will be! Hey, it's Kudos TV & Film Productions we're talking about here!!

I started off w/ Team Cat but quickly turned to Team Sam & Team Tess! Yay!

There's still so much story to tell, so I hope there'll be a second series!

Tess is a wonderful character. so funny and chaotic and sweet. (Fiona Button is an awesome actress!) I'm not sure if I like Tess with her sexy neighbour, though, if there's a second series, I'd love to see Lou come back into her life (the closeted TV host).

I have to admit that I love the Cat-Frankie relationship in all its dysfunctional glory. Of course, Sam is better for Cat, she's stable and reliable and calm - everything that Frankie's not - but I believe Frankie is the love of her life, there's so much passion and such a strong connection between them. I'd love for them to explore this a bit more in future episodes.

I want Sadie back! I like her, actually! And it'd be good to see Lou return as well..... I just hope they don't add too many new characters which would only be a distraction and an erosion to the entire story arc...

Cat und Frankie sind echt beeindruckend zusammen, sie gehören zusammen, auch wenn sie eigentlich nicht zusammen sein können.
