... Finally, we’ve got some great ratings news to report for Fear the Walking Dead.

After a big ratings drop hit the viewership of the popular companion series for The Walking Dead, the subsequent numbers have remained steady. Now, the ratings are ascending again at a pretty high rate, as episode 206, “Sicut Cervus”, saw a gain in over two million viewers.

Courtesy of TV by the Numbers, we have learned that Fear the Walking Dead pulled in a total of 2.61 million more viewers than the previous week. That includes a 1.4 point growth in the important 18-49 adult demographic, jumping from 2.1 to 3.5.

As well, FTWD was once again the #1 show of the night, retaining its spot over HBO’s Game of Thrones. So, despite the fluctuating overall numbers seen in the ratings, the show is still the hottest one on TV. ...

Ausiello: Yup. Showrunner Dave Erickson recently told TVLine that you can expect to meet a whole new Alicia in the back half of Season 2. Gone will be the impetuous girl who gave away critical intel over the radio to a stranger, and in her place, “We’ll see a woman who really comes of age and hopefully regains her connection with her mother and steps into more of an adult role.”

However, one of the greatest mysteries in the upcoming second half would be Alicia’s strength. Although she was initially thought to be a mature character despite her age, Alicia had shown vulnerability in the previous episodes.

In an interview with Interview Magazine, Alycia Debnam-Carey who plays Alicia revealed how difficult it was for her to play the character. She states, “The biggest challenge in playing Alicia is trying to make a teenage girl seem fully formed and not the quintessential moody teenager.”
Alicia, unlike those of her age, is not the typical angsty character in Fear the Walking Dead. She is a practical character who loves her mom too much for her own good.

So, audiences are expecting that in Fear the Walking Dead season 2B, Alicia will try to emancipate herself from the influence of Madison. She will have to make difficult decisions and toughen up as the situation calls for it.

Undead Walking reports that though the rest of the survivors do not have the necessary skills to fight off zombies, Alicia promises some potential and will rise up to the current circumstances. Moreover, showrunner David Erickson had already hinted previously that Alicia story will further develop in the second half of season 2.
