lol I think I was so surprised by those spoilers that I didn't even think it was all a dream. I mean soaps are supposed to be crazy, maybe they put Rebecca through all that for show?:/ but yeah, probably not. I think option 3 is the most believable rationale for me. I thought the veil lift part is real because I was hoping this is the part where Marlene picks Rebecca and she runs away with her during the wedding. and we'll finally end this miserable chase for Tristan.
lol in mittag's channel the translation for that scene where Marlene sat too closely to Rebecca was "you don't have to be all up in my grill." and I'm like wow, the germans have really adopted some american slang. I guess that was just a preference from the translator.
Lola - I like your version 2. You were right with the wedding dress design theory, and I've a feeling one of these four theories will be canon. But which one...? i just hope not version 4, because i DON'T want that staircase sequence to be real...
What is this shit on the 21 of sept, can they make Rebecca more desperate, dancing with Marlenes dress. Come on eithier give Rebecca what she wants or put her out of her fucking misery, poor girl.

This is becoming stupid. They are making this story unbearable. I quess we have to wait for Wednesday for Marlene decision...if there's any. That's when episode 4151 takes place. Even though I think Marlene its not showing any signs of affection toward Rebecca.
On episode 4148, I hope Rebecca be strong and shuts her off with a passionate kiss that will make Marlene surrender in Rebeccas's arm and they end up making mad love
I totally agree with you maryhard and glawi06 ! This is getting stupid...and Marlene is living in a fantasy world where she believes that Rebecca's love for her can vanish in the thin air in 5 episodes. Rebecca told her that she loved her and, in another episode, that she still haunts her thoughts and now in the latest spoiler she finally cannot restrain her feelings any longer ? C'mon, really ? It's damn obvious ... i hope she will KO Marlene and demonstrate her that they belong together.
I don't see it as stupid. What happens? Rebecca makes the wedding dress for Marlene and with this she is confronting the fact that she doesn't has a chance with her because this is the dress Marlene will be wearing when she marries Rebecca's brother. And so, in this absolute private moment she either dreams for the last time of dancing with Marlene in this dress or she says good-bye to her dreams. She isn't expecting anyone to disturb that moment but Marlene does and finally Rebecca is losing her patience with her. I have to say I was waiting for this moment for a long time. All this time Rebecca sucks up everything Marlene throws at her and now, in this moment when her emotions are so raw, she is at the end of her rope.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if this situations leads at least to a passionate kiss if not more. It's also the mirror to the situation when Marlene and Rebecca sleep with each other for the first time. Rebecca and Marlene have a big fight - check. Marlene feels bad about it and goes to Rebecca all alone - check. They fight some more - check. To be continued ...
I don't think this new spoiler is stupid, desperate, embarrassing or what have you. I mean when you really care about someone you daydream and often at times do silly things. Like stare off with a dopey look after mind blowing sex. Ahemm, Marlene. Or in this case Rebecca, picturing the woman she loves envisions dancing with her. I mean as frustrated and annoyed as we all are in regards to Marlene and Rebecca still not being together, one must think logically.
Have we seen true raw love and passion in a single glance shared between Tristan and Marlene? ... No. Have we seen it with Hagen for that matter... no. Okay how about Rebecca?... Sorry I got distracted by the background of this site and the header. Come on guys, those looks, touches and moments speak volumes. Do you really think that if they were to have a couple that from what I can tell is being well received and quite popular when you compare other storylines on youtube etc. a quick happy ending? This is a soap opera. I remember watching Passions and it took several, SEVERAL years for a couple (Ethan and Theresa) to get together finally. Even the fact that he was married didn't stop the love and kisses shared between them.
I suppose what I'm trying to say after this long rant is that this is a soap! Soap operas take a while for an amazing love story to truly form. Carla and Stella from the same show took over a year until they were content and happy and left the show in peace. I am patiently waiting because when they do get together it will be perfect.
Finally, for those who think that this (new spoiler) is Rebecca's final plea and her goodbye of her love for Marlene, I will say this, just like you can't leave a person you're with for some years within a snap, (Marlene and Tristan), you can't simply switch off the love from a moment to the next. So until they get together which may take a while, I for one will enjoy their glances, touches and moments of intimacy. No matter how many times Marlene says I love you to Tristan, it will not equal the love she feels and shows for Rebecca, and that says something, since she has yet to say I love you to her!
Regarding the dance: Eh, I'll wait for the execution. Could be totally horrible and failsy. Could be ok. Could be good.
Thanks for reminding me of Starla. That was some major fuckery with the fans as well. Giving us the meet cute in the car, Carla falling in love but then making is wait and wonder for ages whether and when Stella would fall in love with Carla as well. Ah VL, they sure like to torture the viewers
i get that VL likes to drag out storylines to the max and make things very complicated, going back and forth and such, but in doing so they earn a lot of anti- fans too... (me a worrywart)
every time i visit the VL forum some odd german fans there keep complaining about marbecca wtf.
in other news the dancing thing sounds very cheesy but maybe tatjana can pull it off.
The big storylines of the recent years that had no complaints and no haters are veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery few and far in between.
I think it's the nature particularly of online fans to complain about certain things. Particularly slow pace and triangle partners being cheated on. BUT imo the fact that people complain about it (and it frequently annoys even the fans) doesn't really change the fact that those things might still be necessary from a storytelling POV. For example, a soap would have a way quicker story turnaround if all couples got together quickly and that would be a huge strain on the production.
I don't know where I read it but somebody said if there was an actual market for a show where a cute couple with chemistry just sits and around and is happy and solid and kinda of "read the phonebook" to the viewer => somebody would already have done it. It's just the law of the free market. If there was actually money to be made from something like that, it would already have happened and there instantly would have been 10.000 copycat shows trying to make money from the same formula. The fact that it doesn't exist shows that it doesn't work despite how fans (whether it might be Marbecca or Chrolli or Chuck/Blair or whatever fans) say they wants that it doesn't work in reality.
==> and I genuinely think that this is not a case of "all writers on all shows and mediums of the world are just too close minded to try it/break the conventional storytelling rules" it's just a (even if it might seem counterintuitive) reality.
Sometimes we still need things we don't like => not to say that everything about Marbecca is well written and well paced and it couldn't have been done better even if you write it under the mantra of drama (I still think there could have been much better integration with the around canvas for example, there could have been some higher stakes in the fashion company stories, there could have been a more psychological ground work and explanations of all of Marlene, Tristan and Rebecca and why they are the way they are). It's just a general principal thing.
Great first post, KayCar, thanks for making these very valid points, and welcome to the forum.

You're right, she hasn't said it yet, and it will surely be an epic moment, once she does! Maybe it will happen when she catches Rebecca dancing with the wedding dress?! This meeting seems to be quite passionate, and it seems to once again reawaken Marlene's doubts about the wedding. So maybe, hopefully, things will finally move in the right direction.
Storytelling 101. If you want to tell a story, you have to have conflict. You have to have something that will draw the reader in and give them something to root for, or at least a question they want answered. As soon as you answer that question or resolve that conflict, that part of the story is complete. Either you have another conflict or question come up, or all the conflict is resolved and the story is over. That's why fairy tales end with "they lived happily ever after." There's nothing interesting about seeing people actually live happily ever after. The story is the part that happens before they get to that point.
I couldn't agree more Vero. I know some people on Youtube were annoyed about the dress thing and many find it awkward, but I really think it can be a special moment for Marbecca. One can say that the fantasy Rebecca had about dancing with Marlene or the sleep kiss could have been a bit awkward (not that I think this at all), but some may. To me, seeing these two wonderful actresses and what they already managed to do with these characters is brilliant. Personally, I have never seen chemistry quite like theirs. They manage to make a single look intimate! So in short, I look forward to this scene. Especially with the new spoiler, 'Tuesday, 25 September 2012: Marlene doesn’t know how to tell Tristan the truth.' What truth? The one we have been dying to hear. That she loves Rebecca?
