When Tristan asks Rebecca to provide her apartment in New York for him and Marlene for the time period after their wedding, Rebecca hesitates first. In the hope that the spatial separation might help her to forget Marlene, she finally agrees. Nevertheless, when they are attempting to revive their platonic friendship it comes again to a close moment between the women. Ultimately Rebecca asks Marlene to say to her that she doesn't love her.
The bloody cheek of Tristan! How cheeky can you get, asking your sister who you full well know just so happens to be in love with your fiance if you can use her apartment for your honeymoon! I am liking the fact Rebecca asks Marlene upfront whether she loves her or not (well, sort of). About time, at least Rebecca will finally have an inking of how Marlene feels about her.

That's so lame. Doesn't Tristan have tons of money? I think deep down inside he likes to torture his little sister. He knows very well that his sister is in love with Marlene. Sometimes I think this guy doesn't have any brains or feelings.
We are all searching like maniacs for Marlene and Rebecca on the internet. I only hope they will be together in the end AND have a happy end. If anyone finds something new about them please let us know !!
Thank God for the spoilers - I think this storyline would have killed me by now. It's really incredible - have you all been seeing the intense Marlene-hate on the storyline YouTube videos? It's so interesting how we can all watch this storyline and develop such different impressions.
I think Marlene remains true to her character. Even though I've only been watching her in the Marbecca storyline, I can guess that she has never been some free-spirited, follow-your-heart lady. And even if she was, who would jump from a brother to a sister without a whole lot of trepidation?
And I like some of the ways Marlene is slowly (at a snail's pace) and seemingly growing comfortable with her feelings for Rebecca. Like how seriously Marlene was considering Juliette's comments about being open about her sexuality and not caring about how it affects her career. Marlene definitely needed to encounter someone that open and brave, especially since Marlene's career is obviously important to her (and in the public-eye).
And honestly, it must have taken a lot of stubborn resilience to move up in her career, to get past the rape, and over her first marriage. And to me, it seems that anyone who goes through all that would (in the short-term atleast) focus on stability even above happiness. While it's frustrating, I like the slow-boil of this storyline.
Agreed, wishfulzen. The slow pace is precisely why I think Rebecca and Marlene will end up together. That's a lot of valuable story real estate this story has been given. Soaps don't do that lightly, or to boost ratings. Marbecca is endgame. It's just going to be a bumpy ride.
I never really pay much attention to those comments, either at youtube or L-Chat. Its amazing to me how many people want either 1) instant gratification 2) an R-rated sex scene or 3) Rebecca with some random chick, as long as she's hot. If that's what those people want, they don't need to be watching a soap, and honestly, alot of times they come off sounding like raunchy 14-year old pubescent boys. That's why I enjoy sites like this one. The people that post here talk and act like adults.
Agree formerlurker. I think the moment it became really evident to me that Marbecca was endgame was when they brought in Marlene's parents into the storyline. Why else would they waste scenes having Marlene's parents a) discuss her "potential" feelings for women & b) notice her obvious jealousy of the Juliette-Rebecca interaction? It makes for two less people to shock at the wedding.
Haha Kendahl897 - the comments make me laugh too. Especially the "Marlene is so mean to you Rebecca - get over her and get it on with Bianca or Juliette!" Lol. With all the pressure on Marlene to be brave and honest in her love for Rebecca...shouldn't these commentators want the same for Rebecca? For her to brave and honest and true to the one who has her heart?
I love how this show has fantastic spoilers - but the episode almost always transcends anything the spoilers hint at for me. With so many other shows, the reverse is true.
ack, the most recent spoilers give me SOME hope. I know the big climax is on ep 4051 and we're a long ways to go until we find that out. but OMG, maybe there is hope!!!! people were right about the dress being made by Rebecca. I hate how Marlene outright says she doesn't love her but at the same time still have those doubts and re-emerging feelings. I think this is a really good sign. maybe we will get MarBecca endgame....?
I am a lurker here and I am confused. I thought Vl was on episode 4115. But people keep talking about episode 4051 being the key episode. Am I missing how the episodes are labeled?
