OK, here's a
6-degree-of-separation moment for ya.... Don't know if anyone of you in Germany is aware of this new web series called "
Emma Stahl." FYI,
Afterellen.com has been featuring this web series and just came out with a new article about it. It's very interesting as the
MAIN character is played by an actress who was on "
Verbotene Liebe"!!! What are the odds, eh? Anyone remembers the character, "
Sophie Lewinsky" played by actress,
Meike Gottschalk? Well, you're in for a surprise 'coz she plays a James Bond-type lesbian in this upcoming web series! I saw the trailer - very "
Bound"-like - cool, black leather, mobsters, guns, and making out! Could be interesting! But 'coz it's a web series, it depends entirely on donations. So I think the producer is looking for lots of support for the series to get aired online. I don't know if they even finished filming it or just managed to cough up a teaser.
But the
MOST interesting comment in this article was the fact that
Meike Gottschalk shares the same manager as
Anne Wis (
Stella Mann)!!! Yup,
Meike, in this article, talks about....
(drum roll)...
Claudia Hiersche leaving V.L.!!! And the impact of the
Carla character, drawing comparison to "
Bette Porter" on "
TLW"!
(I agree w/ the comparison that both characters had the same Type A personality traits including chockful amounts of vulnerability!)
Anyway, she also puts her 2 cents into why
Claudia left the show, which mirrors a lot with what a lot of us thought. But the fact that it's coming out of Claudia's peer and former VL cast mate, it's
VERY COOL, indeed!
OK,
DO check out the article
here...
I don't know if this post should be here and/or anywhere else. But I do think that not only the Germans or those of us who love watching German shows on this forum should support this series, but everyone who wants to see shows with lesbians as main characters
(instead of just supporting!) should jump on the bandwagon, too! God knows when we'll get another "
Carla" character on our TV screens again that was written and acted so terribly well with so much commitment to portray a realistic, 3-dimensional character with all the human strengths and weaknesses that a person would have, who just so happens to be gay!
A-n-y-w-a-y.....

Emma Stahl"....
(it even has English subtitles! Gosh, leave it to the Germans to always be efficient, eh! )
