Just watched the interview and gotta say, Miriam Meckel is one fascinatingly clever and intelligent person, to say the least! Wow! Thanks a lot for the link,
anyone! The interview is also on the podcast if anyone's
(no pun intended!) interested.
After listening to her philosophical analysis, I decided to look her up since she's a self-professed big blogger and tweeter! So now I follow her and read her blogs. I can't believe all the achievements she's made and she's only what, 44?! Jeez! Makes me feel like a very lazy, underachieved person!
I mean, to be an Eisenhower Fellow.... that says something about her commitment as a citizen of the world to make changes and/or be involved in the necessary global networking efforts in order to bring the world together more!
Meckel's like a slightly older version of
Rachel Maddow! Both are incredibly smart, academic (both are PhD doctors!), sensitive and astute to global issues, always have clear and concise points of view politically and socially, great public speakers & both are almost entrenched on the Internet! What I'd give to see these 2 women have a one-on-one talk about nothing but politics, the state of the world and the power of the Internet! I could dream, couldn't I?
Gotta love these clever, sharp-witted women, eh?
Anyway, if anyone's interested in reading her blogs, articles, etc... here's the link to her website...
