After the dinner, we had a little smalltalk. It felt good and right to talk to her without her leaving and without me kissing her under pressure.
"It was so delicious. Does anybody know that you can cook that amazingly good?"
"Cristina", was her answer. "Oh, and Owen."
"Well, if you ever feel sick of broken bones, you can still open a restaurant", I replied. "Oh I forgot, I brought something for us."
One of her eyebrows went up. "I tought it was my invitation?"
"Of course. But this", I grabbed a bottle out of my bag, "is something I don't expect you to have." I put the bottle on the table. The green liquid was enlightened by the candlelight.
"Whoa, do you want me to become drunk?"
"Possible."
"Me being drunk does not include that I'm uninhibited."
"I know. Death told me about your competition with Sloan. You were still standing tall while he was sitting and babbling."
She laughed. "Yeah, it was a great night. It was after Erica left."
"Great as in great sex with Sloan?"
She blushed.
"Sorry, that was..."
"Arrant", she said smiling.
I smiled back at her. She was breathtakingly beautiful. I could'nt resist staring at her lips and eyes. "So, wanna have a drink?"
"Okay. I warned you."
"You don't have to warn me. Death and I killed three of them. Just the two of us."
"Luckily for me I have a day off tomorrow."
"I don't. But I have the night shift, so, enough time to get rid of the alcohol in my blood."
I watched her fetching two shot glasses. "Good, cause I don't want to be blamed if an intern comes to work full drunk."
I filled up the shots. "One, two, three", I said and then we poured the alcohol down our throats.
"Euh, what the hell is that?"
"Vodka."
"And the seconds half?"
"I don't know. My uncle sends me bottles every month from germany. He works there."
"German's are crazy. You are crazy! I can't drink it."
"Try another one and you'll find it's yummy."
She curled her lips. "Okay."
I filled that shots one more time. "One, two, three." I licked my lips.
"You were right. It's getting better. One more."

"Dr. Sadie Harris, it was a very nice evening", she said. She could still stand on her own feet but walking straight ahead was not that easy anymore. Not even for me. I was so out of training.
"I better go now. I don't want to make mistakes and ruin all the good I did today."
"But I can't let you go."
"What?"
"You can't drive your car anymore. That would be irresponsible."
"I call a cab", I said smiling. I really wanted to go and and whispered a gentle farewell kiss on her lips.
"I thought you were more...urging and pushing things."
"You thought wrong. See you."
"Good night."
I went along the corridor with a grin on my lips. "Fuck!" I walked back to her door an knocked.
"Mark", she opened the door.
"I am not Sloan."
"Fortunately. Forgot something?"
"Yes. No. I don't have keys and Death's with Derek tonight...so..."
She made one step towards me and kissed me. We stumbled kissing into her apartment and slammed the door.
"Glad you had to came back", she said, still kissing me.

I was trying to say anything, but my mouth and brain were not connected anymore.

I hoped that I would start breathing again. The feeling of her warm, full lips on my throat made ​​me almost crazy. I woke up, the air was filled with the insence of coffee.
"Good morning", she said as she noticed I was awake.
"Good morning", I answered, stretching myself. "I knew you can't live without coffee, but it's not even 9AM. How can you be up that early and all happy and shiny and...you took a shower already?"
"Yeah. Early birds catches..."
"A high five in the face...with a chair", I said before she could end her sentence."
"Oh, that's a nice one!"
My eyes were so tired, I could barely open them. "I would say I am getting old and alcohol hits me more than a few years ago...but I' rather blame the couch."
"I told you. But you had to be so bloody-minded. I asked you three times."
"I told you I didn't wanted to rush things."

"Dr. Harris, you're with me today!"
"But...Dr. Torres, she is an intern", Dr. Stevens complained.
"Yes she is, and I am an orthopedic surgeon teaching an intern how to repair broken bones. That's whats an intern is supposed to do. Learning from surgeons."
I stood in front of her, saying nothing. Izzi was a good friend of Death. And I am or was her best friend. I just wanted to pull myself out of the firing line
"I was not allowed do learn from you when I was at that level."

"Who said that?" She got furious. I could see it in her eyes.
"What? Everybody saw you two walking in this morning, holding hands." Dr. Adamson was the most jealous and envious person I ever met in my life, and I met many people.

Callie start laughing. A second after that she yelled at Reed again. "Dr. Stevens, you may were allowed to learn from me
if you had not been hot after my husband. Dr. Adamson, it is my decision who's walking hand in hand with me and who's not." With these words, she left. "Dr. Harris!", she called me. I made slowly steps, following her.
